For Immediate Release:

Lane Mayer Projects is pleased to present Lura Lyre, Muse Music Amusement, a pop up installation of prints, illustrations and tapestries inspired by a variety of classic bands and set to music by Elyse Rainbolt. The show sprang forth from an extraordinary variety of lyrics jotted down while listening, and the constant communication of songs with connoisseur, Vinyl Ben. Conversations of “Do you have this?!” or “Have you heard this?!?”, sent alongside YouTube links with hopeful emojis, are the foundation for many pieces on the walls.

Opening night, Vinyl Ben plays a selection of songs which inspired the artworks, an array of rare and loved tunes from his collection of over 8,000 albums. Lura Lyre, Muse Music Amusement is a celebration of lyrics, colors and sound.
